Moses Lake, WA—To ensure that its transit network is alignedwith the needs of current and future riders, as well as the communities itserves, Grant Transit Authority (GTA) is launching public engagement efforts for its System-Wide Transportation Analysis.

“The goal of the public engagement is to listen to our customers and the wider community and to identify their transportation needsand try to provide the best services we can for them,” said Board Chair,Mayor Bruce Reim of Ephrata. “The recent years have been difficult for everyone, including GTA. The result is that our customers’ travel needs mayhave changed. That’s why this series of listening sessions is so important toour System-Wide Transportation Analysis project.”

GTA will be hosting four outreach workshops at various locations around the county from February 15 to 17, 2023. At each session, theconsultants conducting the study will give an overview of the initial stages ofthe project and members of the public will have an opportunity to share theirneeds and concerns.

“We want to hear about any changes in transportation preferences and travel behavior so GTA can tailor our family of services toprovide the most suitable transit choices that we can provide with ourresources, to our communities across the county,” said Operations Manager, JoBeth Carlson, who is also the project manager for this project at GTA.
